Early afternoon at Palmerston North CleanCo on Friday 5th July for coffee and a clean. With orders taken for barista-made coffee and nibbles provided, truckers waited for their trucks to be washed.
Danielle and Stone say thank you at coffee and clean afternoon
It was a quick thank you from new owners Danielle and Stone Whareumu at the recently purpose-built Palmerston North site.
“It was a simple but nice way to round off an afternoon truck wash for drivers and an opportunity for Danielle and Stone to say thanks for the support,” said CleanCo Director Richard Vincent.
It’s been a whirlwind for Danielle and Stone since March when they uprooted from Christchurch. They moved their children to new schools and a new city and plunged into the management world of operating their own business. Staff are now fully trained and both Danielle and Stone are ‘hands on’, meaning they’re onsite and available to help with questions or feedback.
“We’re delighted to have them on board, with all of their knowledge and experience. Danielle worked in the Christchurch CleanCo so knows truck washing inside and out. And Stone brings a wealth of engineering experience, which has proven handy for smooth operations management,” said Richard Vincent.
Stone was on orders and delivery
The site on Friday was humming, with regulars turning in all afternoon and meeting CleanCo Managers from around the country. Who also came to show their support. With Stone on orders and delivery, truckers enjoyed their favourite coffee order until around 3pm.
For newbies the Palmerston North CleanCo can be a bit difficult to find. Google Setters Line but easiest access is via Railway Road, with CleanCo in the driveway next to Hiringa.
To note: free coffee is always available at CleanCo, just don’t expect barista made every time.
